View database files in Windows--in English!

Many users have tried the GDBwin program on their desktop or laptop computer and have remarked that they like being able to view and edit their Phonebook, NoteTaker and DataBase files using standard Windows commands and a mouse. The only drawback has been the Japanese menu labels.

Serge Kozhemiakin has done a terrific job of converting the Japanese menus to their English equivalents. You can get a copy of GDBwinE at either http://www.PalmtopPaper.com or at http://www.palmtop.net (the S.U.P.E.R. site).

Get maps tailored for the HP Palmtop

When getting ready to take a road trip, I usually go to the MapBlast or MapQuest site on the Web and get a set of route maps. The only problem is that the maps are in color. I then have to spend time and energy to convert the .GIF images to black and white images and resize them for use on my Palmtop. The results have not been satisfying.

Mike Kopplin has provided a Web service that gets me the same maps and saves me all the work of converting the images on my desktop.

To see what I'm talking about, point your Web browser at http://www.technoir.nu/hplx/lxmapblast.html
and snag a couple of Mike's maps. You'll ne'er need to ask directions again.
