The HP 95LX and the MAC

The HP 95LX and the MAC

I have had my HP 95LX for a month, and it is indeed an incredible computer. I also have a MAC and would love to be able to connect the HP 95LX to my MAC.

In this regard, the only reason I did not initially subscribe to your publication is that it seemed a bit "guruish" to me -- if it is mostly IBM and DOS-related material, then it is too guruish. I wasn't even sure what disk size I should select for the Subscribers Disk - or more importantly would it be of any use to me with my MAC.

I do believe the MAC community will be a sizeable user of the HP 95LX, and hopefully you and other 95LX vendors will realize this.

Thanks for bearing with me. Any help you can be to a diehard MAC user will be greatly appreciated. Best of luck with your new publication.

[There indeed are many MAC HP 95LX users, and we hope to serve them with this newsletter. For HP 95LX-to- MAC solutions see "Most Frequently Asked Questions" article, page 15.

The free Subscribers Disk will contain software useable on the HP 95LX independent of whether the owner has a MAC, an IBM compatible, another computer, or no computer. We are open to providing the Subscribers Disk on any format. Many of the newer MACs read IBM 3 1/2 inch disks. However, upon request we can supply the Subscribers Disk (and other materials) on disks with other formats, or if there is a demand, on a RAM or ROM card near cost. Subscribers should tell us of your requests.

Finally, I would be open to having "MAC Connection" articles or a regular column similar to the DOS Connection column in this issue. Please contact me, if any reader wishes to contribute or be in charge of it. - Hal]
