RADIO SHACK SERIAL-PARALLEL CONVERTER

The 95LX has only a serial port and many printers have only a parallel port. To translate from serial to parallel data requires a separate device. The Serial-Parallel converter. The one caveat for buyers of these devices is that to work with the HP 95LX it must be capable of disabling the DTR handshaking.

A Radio Shack device seems to work with the HP 95LX. It's model #26-2829 Tandy Serial-Parallel Converter at $99. Switch settings: 1on, 2 off, 3 on (9600 baud), 4 on (8 bit), 5 and 6 off (no parity), 7 off (Xon/Xoff), 8 off (serial to parallel transmission).
