COPY NOTE TO APPT TODO LIST WITH "SMART CLIP" 100LX

The Smart Clip feature lets you copy fields from PHONE, APPT, DATA BASE, and NOTE TAKER and paste them to other applications. For example, some people keep long lists of things to do in the Note Taker application. When these items become more timely, they move them into Appointment Book's ToDo List. Automating this transfer is easy to do using the 100LX's Smart Clip feature.

Lets say you keep a brief description of your ToDo in Note Taker's Title field, and additional information in Note Taker's Note field. You want to transfer the Title and Note fields of Note Taker to the ToDo list. Go to Note Taker and follow these steps:

SETTING UP THE SMART CLIP

1. 1. Press (F5) (Clip) to go to the main Smart Clip screen.
2. 2. Press (F2) (Define) (F2) (Field), highlight Title and press (F10) (ENTER) to select it.
3. 3. Press (F2) again, highlight Note and press (ENTER).
4. 4. Press (F10) and give the Smart Clip a name (e.g. ToDo Copy).

1. 1. Press (F10) one more time and you should be back to the main Smart Clip screen with ToDo Copy highlighted.
2. 2. Press (ENTER) or (F10) (OK) and Smart Clip copies the data in those two fields into its memory buffer.

1. 1. Open the Appointment Book application
2. 2. Press (F10) (ToDo) and (F2) (Add).
3. 3. Tab down to the Note field and press (Fn) (=) to PASTE the NoteTaker data into that field.
4. This copies Note Taker's Title and Notes fields into ToDo's Notes field. However, you have to enter something in the Description field or the ToDo won't be accepted.
5. 4. Press (<Shift>)(<Arrow>) to highlight the in information originally stored in Note Taker's Title field. Press (Fn)(.) to CUT it from the ToDo Note field.
6. 5. Move up to the ToDo's Description field and press (Fn)(+) to PASTE this information there. Modify it if necessary and press (F10) when you're finished.
