WILL AIRPORT X-RAYS DAMAGE THE PALMTOP? 95LX 100LX

WILL AIRPORT X-RAYS DAMAGE THE PALMTOP? 95LX 100LX

The HP 100LX is too new for extensive experience with X-ray machines, but the 95LX goes through X-ray machines with no problems. Any computer should be able to go through the X-ray machine. X-rays don't do anything to microcircuits. The only computer-related risk from X-ray machines is for magnetic media, and that has nothing to do with X-rays. X-ray machines use electromagnets to focus their beam, and magnetic fields can affect disks. For most X-ray machines, however, the magnetic field is stronger outside the machine than inside. It's usually safe to put a computer or diskettes through the machine, but keep them away from the sides of the machine on the outside.
