Limits to line length in CONFIG.SYS files?

95LX

On a PC, a line in CONFIG .SYS may have a 128-character limit. However, on the 95LX, I've used lines over 300 characters without problems.

I haven't tried a long line in 100LX, 100Buddy doesn't require a long line in the CONFIG.SYS.
