You should never just yank the batteries from the 95/100/200LX to get it back from oblivion. If the warm boot (press (CTRL)(ALT)-(DEL)) does not reboot the machine, then use the hard reset (press (CTRL)-(<Shift>)-(ON) and answer No when asked if you want to "Initialize RAM disk?" The hard reset will always work and does not risk data lose or put a strain on the backup battery like pulling the AA's does.
