Q: How can I customize the fields in the PhoneBook? (e.g. add an E-mail address field).

A: Close the PhoneBook and open the Database manager. Press (MENU) File Open and open the PHONE .PDB file (the file formats are the same for the DataBase manager and PhoneBook, only the file extension is changed). Now press (MENU) File Modify Database to add/subtract/move fields to your heart's content. Quit DataBase, start PhoneBook and open PHONE.PDB if necessary.

Be aware that other software reads PhoneBook .PDB files (e.g., the Xlate/Merge feature of the Connectivity Pack software). Some of these programs expect to see an un-modified .PDB file. If you plan to use the Xlate/Merge feature, don't use the above trick to modify your PhoneBook it wont work properly. If you use other software programs with your .PDB file, test out the modified version to see if the program works properly.
