Help with Application Manager
Help with Application Manager

Dear Sirs,

Some time ago I read about changing or deleting the assigned letters of the hot keys for the built-in programs in the Application Manager of the HP 200LX.

I remember only that this trick was done with a hexadecimal editor but I do not know which file to edit and I did not succeed in finding it. I looked through all my Palmtop Papers twice, but I could not find any article on it. So I must have seen it elsewhere. Searching on the Internet did not give any result either. Could you tell me which file to edit, if I want to change the "&a" of appointment book or the "&n" of notes ?

I would appreciate very much if you would help me.

Sincerely,

Jay Bachmayer

This is a good example of how I get new ideas. I too remembered reading how to perform this trick and even did an electronic search of the CD InfoBase to no avail. I also noticed that we've mentioned the Application Manager in several articles but never have done a complete article on it. Hopefully, the Through The Looking Glass article in this issue will take care of this oversight.
