DECIDE SYSTEM CONFIG AT BOOT UPI've been experimenting with a useful little application that I picked up on the CompuServe PCVENB forum called BOOT.SYS <ON DISK ICON>. Basically, BOOT.SYS allows you to decide at boot time which configuration to run, and then sorts out which commands/device drivers to load. It works great on my Compaq desktop, allowing me to choose whether to use HIMEM.SYS or QEMM.SYS etc. I had an idea that it would be just the thing for the 95LX, to boot into DOS or SYSMGR, and yes it actually works. No more adding and deleting the SHELL command line in the CONFIG.SYS file! Ian Wells CompuServe ID: [100020,734]
