If you use rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydrides the cost of 500 recharges comes to pennies per use! Heavy users (8-10 hours a day without adapter) will need to charge every couple of days. Users with adapters in strategic locations (on desk top, next to easy chair, on night stand, next to throne!) will get months of use from one charge.

Smart users of NHD rechargeables will change at regular intervals to avoid the dangerous drop off of power inherent in rechargeables. (Seepage 13, Jul/Aug 92 issue for complete description of various battery options).
