The final printed issue of The HP Palmtop Paper featured an article about the Windows program GDBwin, an emulator, and more, of the Palmtop's database applications, i.e., Database, NoteTaker and Phonebook. The program itself is quite good but some parts of it remained a mystery because of the Japanese documentation and indecipherable items in the menus. Toshiki Sasabe has offered the following brief explanation of the menu items in GDBwin.
According to another email received,(see below) the programmer of GDBwin, Mr. Toru Miyamori, died within the past couple of years. The site for GDBwin continues in existence but there is no guarantee for how much longer. Needless to say there won't be any upgrades for the program. That's OK: it works just fine as it is, even though it is a 'beta' version.
Menu structure of GDBWin (version 0.90b)Serge K. has done a remarkable job of actually changing the menu system in the program so that the items appear in English. Press the Back key and click on the "download" line to fetch your own copy of the program.

Toshike Sasabe
I heard that the creator, Toru Miyamori, died last year. So the software remains as an unfinished beta version (0.90b). I tried to translate menus to English as follows.
